Privacy Policy & Terms of Service

Cost To Build LLC · www.costtobuild.net Effective Date: July 10, 2026 Last Updated: July 10, 2026

This page contains two parts: our Terms of Service (the rules for using CostToBuild.net, including subscriptions, billing, and refunds) and our Privacy Policy (how we collect and use your information). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using this website, you agree to both.

Part 1: Terms of Service

1. About Us

CostToBuild.net is owned and operated by Cost To Build LLC, a Utah limited liability company located in North Logan, Utah. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah.

2. Accuracy of Estimates — No Guarantee

CostToBuild.net provides construction cost estimating tools for informational and planning purposes only. Construction costs vary significantly based on location, market conditions, material prices, labor availability, site conditions, design choices, and many other factors outside our control.

Estimates generated on CostToBuild.net are not bids, quotes, or appraisals. Cost To Build LLC does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any estimate or information generated on this site. You are solely responsible for verifying any figures before relying on them for financial, lending, bidding, appraisal, or construction decisions.

3. Accounts

To use certain features you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials confidential, and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. Accounts are for a single user; sharing login credentials or reselling access is not permitted. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, or attempt to circumvent plan limits or payment.

4. Plans, Subscriptions & Billing

CostToBuild.net offers a free plan and paid subscription plans (currently Basic Monthly, Basic Yearly, and Basic+ Yearly). Current pricing and features are listed on our Pricing page. We may change plan pricing or features; changes will not affect the price of your current paid term but may apply at your next renewal, with notice.

Automatic renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly, depending on your plan) and your payment method on file will be charged at the then-current rate, unless you cancel before the renewal date.

How to cancel. You can cancel anytime by logging in at costtobuild.net/account, selecting Subscriptions, and choosing Cancel (or switching to the Free plan), or by emailing us at brad@costtobuild.net. Cancellation stops future billing. When you cancel, you keep access to your paid features through the end of the billing period you have already paid for.

Payment processing. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. Cost To Build LLC does not store your full credit card number on our servers.

5. Refund Policy

  • New subscriptions: All sales are final. Because paid features are delivered immediately and in full upon purchase, new subscription purchases are non-refundable. We encourage you to try the Free plan before purchasing, and to choose the monthly plan if you are unsure about an annual commitment.
  • Auto-renewals: If your subscription renewed automatically and you did not intend to continue, contact us within 14 days of the renewal charge and we will refund that renewal in full.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel at any time (see Section 4). You will keep access to your paid features through the end of your current paid term, and your plan will not renew.

Refund requests should be sent to brad@costtobuild.net from the email address on your account. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. We reserve the right to grant refunds outside this policy at our sole discretion; doing so in one case does not waive this policy in others.

6. Intellectual Property

The CostToBuild.net website, calculators, cost databases, reports, designs, and content are the property of Cost To Build LLC and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service and to use reports you generate for your own business or personal projects. You may not scrape, copy, resell, or redistribute our cost data or tools, or use them to build a competing product.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or other users’ accounts; (b) interfere with the operation of the site; (c) use automated tools to access or extract data from the site; (d) upload malicious code; or (e) use the service for any unlawful purpose.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that estimates will be accurate.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cost To Build LLC’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose. Cost To Build LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, cost overruns, or losses arising from reliance on estimates generated by the service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page, and continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Cache County, Utah, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
